We appreciate your advising us that “Powell wonders if Obama is losing his ability to connect”. Of course, the evidence that Obama is not connecting is all over the place, but we do appreciate your sharing some of Colin Powell’s remarks with us.
However, we take exception to your description of Powell’s activities as being limited to Secretary of State for George W. Bush. We think people would like to know that Colin Powell was…….
- Secretary of State, 2001-2005 (first African American appointed to that position)
- Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, 1989-1993 (first African American to achieve the Office)
- National Security Advisor, 1987-1989 (under Ronald Reagan)
- Commander of V Corps, 1986
- White House Fellowship, 1972-1973
- Four-Star General in the United States Army, 1989
- Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Army Forces Command, 1989
He has received the following awards and decorations from…..
The United States and other Nations……..

In our opinion there are few men or women in public office who possess credentials that can match those of Colin Powell. We think its time that the American People examine the credentials of those who are running for public office. It is our opinion that Colin Powell occupies a postion that few if any that those serving in public life can match. It is therefore the opinion of the “Union of Americans” Advisors that Colin Powell is unique in the respect to the credentials that he has been awarded by the United States and the Governments of many nations.
CONCLUSION:
The “Union of Americans” recommends to the American People that Colin Powell is unmatched in his credentials for public service and therefore is uniquely eligible to be a canidate for presidency of the the United States. Therefore, Colin Powell is the “Union of Americans” Advisorary Board choice to be a canidate for the presidency in the 2012 National Election.
Therefore, be it resolved that the “Union of Americans” Advisory Board in session are proud to recommend to the American People Colin Powell as a canidate for the presidency in 2012.
Be it further resolved that the “Union of Americans” Advisorary Board has reviewed the records regarding the life and service of Colin Powell and found his qualifications to exceed any and all those American Citizens who qualify as a canidate for the Presidency of the United States.
Be it further resolved that the “Union of Americans” undertake a petition recommending Colin Powell run for President in 2012.
Be it further resolved that this petition be circulated on the internet and that copies of same be forwarded to the media and to each State Official(s) responsible for National Elections which will enable local “Colin Powell for President” Committees to take appropriate action.
Be it resolved that by the collection and distribution of the “Colin Powell for President” Committee petition will represent an unquestioned statement as to the interest and will of the American People in selecting a President in the 2012 Election. ~ dhb

You complete a great point in ones final paragraph. My spouse and I couldn’t agree more using your points. With today’s modern world, your take on this issue is missing in today’s kids. We must ensure that our kids find out more on this topic so we do not lose our path.
